Discover Safe and Effective Neurofeedback Therapy at Red Rock Chiropractic Center in Southwest MN

Neurofeedback therapy is a non-drug approach to addressing imbalances in the four main brainwaves: alpha, beta, delta, and theta. The goal of neurofeedback is to regulate brainwave activity. When brainwaves are dysregulated, it can be associated with many different conditions. Neurofeedback has been shown to be effective as a supportive treatment by using neuroplasticity to reward the brain for producing correct brainwave patterns.

How does it work?

First, we perform a brain scan to track brainwave function. Electrodes are placed on the head and measure electrical impulses from the brain. No impulses are sent into the brain, so it is a very safe and comfortable procedure. Any dysregulations will show which areas of the brain need training. During neurofeedback training sessions, patients simply watch a show or movie with the electrodes on, and the brain is trained to produce correct brainwave patterns. The progress achieved is cumulative and long-lasting.
