Techniques

Red Rock Chiropractic Center offers a variety of adjustment techniques and therapy services to help our patients feel their best.

Diversified Technique: is the most commonly used and most effective chiropractic treatment. It involves the manipulation and adjustment of the spinal column. This technique is applied quickly and usually results in a popping sound as the spine and joints are reduced of motion fixations. It consists solely of hands-on adjustments; no tools or devices are used to perform the adjustment.

Benefits of Diversified Technique:
  • Adjusts the entire spine quickly and easily
  • Shown effective for neck pain, back pain and headaches
  • Effectively helps manage pain and increases spinal joint range of motion

Cox Technique: is a non-surgical, doctor-controlled, hands-on spinal manipulation performed with the patient lying on a special table called the Cox table. Flexion-distraction and decompression help relieve spinal pain and return patients to their desired quality of life by:

  • dropping intradiscal pressure
  • widening the spinal canal
  • reducing pressure on the spinal nerves
  • returning motion to the spinal joints

Cox Technique is appropriate for conditions causing low back and leg pain as well as neck and arm pain. It also reduces pain caused by:

  • disc herniation
  • a slipped disc
  • a ruptured disc
  • facet syndrome
  • stenosis
  • spondylolisthesis
  • other conditions

Motion Palpation: Dr. Kyle examines each complex spinal joint to analyze the degree to which it may lack proper motion. This highly-skilled maneuver requires the examiner to have a mental picture and knowledge of a spinal joint’s normal motion. Normal motion is compared with the feel of the joint being examined as it is moved through its range of motion.

Webster Technique: is a method used by chiropractors to treat pregnant women to release tension in the pelvis and sacrum, allowing the fetus to turn into the appropriate birthing position. The Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health reported that after five visits to the chiropractor using the light-force, specific-contact adjustments of the Webster Technique, a fetus turned from breech position into vertex position, the normal position for birthing. Current cesarean section rates make the procedure the most common operation in America; the Webster technique is emerging as a safe, effective and non-invasive way to correct breech position.
